Kids Love Design and Milk

If you do not already have your copy of the Milk Deco Issue 3 - October 2009, run to get one at Little Home, Geneva. This handbook of inspiration is full of "astonishing objects, eclectic families and creators of magical websites ". Talking of which, I'd like to highlight the presence of the Kids Love Design within its pages (portrait page 139) because I've met Séverine Herbeth Limon. She's really the "treasure hunter" that you can sense behind the selection of her online shop. We shared our interest for beautifully designed objects, toys, and contemporary furniture that also have the advantage to be eco-friendly, ethic and/ or modular. What's best than items that evolves with your children offering new opportunities, new stories for them to discover ?
If you're looking for the cradle "Voyage" created by Philippine, designer Kenneth Cobonpue (Milk Deco, page 6), it is on kidslovedesign that you'll find it. Kids Love Design mixes the new collection of BE, Ninetonine, Perludi and Normann Copenhagen lamps, Carton Chic toys and Studio Violet illustrations... Only the best !

SHOP La Boîte à Malices

La Boîte à Malices is a concept store in its own way - its leitomotiv could be: Sharing, Love and Fun ! La Boîte à Malices in quartier des Eaux-Vives, Geneva, doesn't only have a fine selection of designer products but also offers a nice second-hand shop ! Actually, everything started with the second-hand shop that first opened in a little conciergerie in 2005, it is only afterwards that some designers came knocking at the door left wide opened ! Now that the shop is larger and offers a nice storefront, a lot of "coup de coeur" and other tricks filled the "box".
Among them you will recognize Anne-Claire Petit and her famous crochet work, Global affairs with its Chinese and Asian bright colours and the lovely brand Chukeco. Chukeco is a UK company created by a Swiss mum that designs bamboo hand knitted clothes for babies.
La Boîte à Malices also selected a range of home accessories from Petit Appetit, Mariette Jonbaz, Livette la Suissette, *Rice - and some others to stroll around; Maison Georgette, Coq en Pâte, Gemmina Mia. On top of that, you can be assured that all the brands selected by La Boîtes à Malices work in respect of the child and its happiness !

Colour, shades and style

This is a beautiful construction game with pieces to stack. Where does the turquoise square go ? You have one shape per colour range and five different shapes. I've been seduced by the aesthetic look of the toy and the multitude of learnings possible: shapes, colour, colour gradient, count. Made of natural wood and lacquer, created in France by Janod but made in Thaïland. I bought it at Joué Club.
In the same line of products - beautiful wooden stack toys - have a look at Kid'O and Grimm's.

Look Coco 10

It is good to have bright colours to sheer up this season collection. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of kids wearing dark colours but right now, I feel like it is a bit too much. Here I got a brown bib shirt with pink-orange-yellow flowers from Sergent Major with a bright green cardigan sweater Quincy.

WAD Kids is a good magazine

You know WAD magazine - We Are Different - the ultimate urban fashion and culture magazine that celebrates its 10th birthday ? Yeah, well they added more than 30 extra pages on the last issue to offer us a glimpse of what a WAD Kids magazine could look like (N°42 - TEN TO TEN) ! I'm lovin'it.
The magazine selected fashion temples for kidddies and all the "not to be missed" brands. The presention is done in an exercice book style, very refreshing.

SHOP Little Home at Meuble & Cie

At Little Home Geneva, you'll probably find the most sensitive collection of furniture, decoration accessories and toys for children. Rebecca created a soft atmosphere in the subdued light of Meubles & Cie's. I know that you're wondering: "Where on Earth is that shop !" Please follow the map link below and here is a clue: Little Home is behind H&M rue du Marché - when you are Place du Perron where you have 7ème étage and Bonpoint - it is up up up the Rue du Perron on your left ! Here you are, from now on, with that address your shopping will be much easier. Why not going ahead with your Christmas shopping !?
At little Home, the selection of brands and designers is centered on a certain playful simplicity, a confident pleasure to mix materials, fabrics, patterns and colors with delicate details. The fragile elegance of some items is balanced with the vibrant colors, playful or geometric patterns of others: that place is merely unique in Geneva. This is to tell you that I'm afraid I'll share with you here below the names of all my favorites designers presented at little Home because their products are simply beautiful.
All the beds presented at Little Home are from Kids Gallery and their streamlined retro style is very contemporary. While La maison de Léna create splendid furnitures in rattan and caning French, a craft work applied on modern design - hide well behind the caning or the ZidZid pouffe and you might see the fawn from Egmont toys then take a walk by Momoll's wooden house. You can take a Lalé tissue suitcase and pack some Vilac games by Nathalie Lété and your coloring books Mon Petit Art ! If you happen to have extra room, take along an Alice Apple handmade vintage toy. If you rather travel light, an elegant hand bag from April Showers will do it also because a plush from Ah quel plaisir ! could fit in it :-)
Meanwhile in Paris, Apolline is creating coquette dolls coming from childlike reveries where the world is powdered with fabulous garlands and where little textile creatures of Abigail Brown can moon. Near by, you'll meet the facetious Nooshka dolls sitting by Tamar Mogendorff bird house and the shy Cheekeyes. Enjoy your day and make sure your dreams come true !
