Anne Kurris at Tricosa

Anne Kurris studied graphic design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. She worked as a graphic designer for major Belgian clothe designers (Dries Van Noten, Walter Van Beirendonck and Dirk Van Saene) before her first children's collection in 1998. She's now the Belgian correspondent for the hipest Kid's wear magazine. This is to tell you how clear and sophisticated her view is: lots of prints on T-shirts in a fresh, authentic style, bright colours. The designs are pure and humorous in contrast to a rough look. Tricosa - the oldest children shop in town - is proud to present Anne Kurris' rather small Summer collection. Focus is on creativity and high quality: get prepared to be surprised.

Klompjes opening, ilovegorgeous, a Saturday afternoon in Eaux-vives

On Saturday 27/3, Klompjes is inviting you to its official opening. This is a good opportunity to discover this brand new store for children in Eaux-vives. You'll see the particulate brand ilovegorgeous, the latest comer among Klompjes' selection of North European labels. This collection of dresses - from British designers Lucy Enfield and Sophie Worthington - is created in a very romantic bohême spirit: lovely !
This might be the occasion for a nice walk in the neighborhood and a bit of shopping (Wunderchic, Telle mère telle fille, La boîte à Malices, Petit Monde, Wish you were here, …) and a stop for a Cupcakes, a homemade tea at Wish you were here or a lemonade at Yvette de Marseille. Now you can't wait for the week-end, can you ? (Follow my directions on Google maps.)

My cardboard hut

Until Spring allows us to play outside all afternoon, I wanted to show you my cardboard house ! I made it out from a large delivery box and my daughter is customizing it every day. Kids on roof qualified in such sturdy play house made of recycled cardboard. Check out their product Casa Cabana, it comes either completely white or with a cat on a tree, a small ant, a rabbit and a squirrel. In any case more than enough room to color, paint and decorate your very own hiding shed. Casa Cabana has a door, seven windows and many spy holes.
Available at Little Home (soon) and at Marre des épinards and online at Kids love design.

SHOP Noa kids

It feels like the boutique Noa has always been around, always there for you to find that unique summer dress that'll make you sparkle. Tara opened Noa kids corner, in the boutique, five years ago with the brands: Zef, Simple kids, Antik Batik and Caramel baby and child. When becoming mothers, all the clients were then relieved to keep on shopping in the same store enjoying the same subtle selection of brands for their children. Now that everybody grew up, Noa kids is introducing a new teenager label: Soeur. It feels so good to grow up amongst friends ! Noa's selection remains consistent: they favor joyful patterns, unusual prints and good quality products. There are no basics here: you come to Noa kids for that special piece that will make your child stand out. And because Noa is a trendy address, this is where you'll find the very cool knitting kits Wool and the gang - there is a baby cotton range coming up !

The Spring collections are finally displayed in stores, I hope the sun will follow up ! So, I'd like to introduce you to these two recently-launched label collections - the soul mates of Little home, Geneva: Ketiketa and April Showers by polder.
"April Showers" is Polder's children's collection already well known for its fashion accessories, and put together in January 2008 by two sisters. The brand usually features hand-made components that bring a unique and artisan quality to the collection. Little home selected for you the linens with mix of graphic prints, throws, bed bumpers and sleeping bags, all in soft and subtle tones: vanilla, glazed chestnut, spring green and black currant. Also for the girls and their mummy, there is some charming purses and beautiful necklaces.
Ketiketa specialized in traditional Nepalese textiles and materials creating clothes, bedclothes and decorative accessories for children. They work with traditional fabric named "dumbar kumari". Ketiketa reaches a bohemian chic style with exotic prints, delicate colour shades, natural fine fabrics and designs inspired by a blending of cultures. So perfect for the new borns. SHOP Klompjes

I'm proud to introduce you to this brand new shop in Geneva: Klompjes (pronounce "clompyes"). It is always a great joy for me to welcome a new multibrand dedicated to kid's. Only 3 weeks old and so much to show you. The owner of Klompjes, Cynthia, is Dutch and so is the name of her boutique which means "little hooves". She is willing to offer a unique selection of exclusive Northern Europe brands to Geneva. The Dutch designers are going to be honored with Imps & elfs, Roomseven and Boontje. Enter and discover the charm of a colorful dressing with practical pieces well cut in heavy jersey and fresh cotton for a modern style both casual and romantic. Boontje only uses organic materials to manufacture the baby clothes collection and all other labels are selected for their fair trade production. Klompjes is also representing American Outfitters, a Belgian label wellknown for their simple fashionable clothing. Klompjes is also featuring the unbelievable hippy chic UK brand: ilovegorgeous. Ok, unlike the designers named above, ilovegorgeous only produces a girls collection but with so much love and fun ! I would like, personally, to warmly welcome Klompjes and already salute the diversity it brings to Geneva. Thank you !
Official opening party on Saturday 27/03 at the shop 3PM, you're invited !

La case de cousin Paul

Be ready to be amazed by this very eloquent fancy lights concept: La case de cousin Paul. So much simplicity and a so vivid color range of balls to choose from, it's definitively appealing ! I picked my garland at the flaship store in Paris 2 years ago to match a Designer Guild tissue in the kid's room. The kits are exclusively on sale at Duo sur canapé, in Geneva, with an extensive collection of colours to customize your garland.
